The reactor dosimetry community is heading to the sunny Adriatic coast! We are delighted to announce the First Call for Abstracts for the 19th International Symposium on Reactor Dosimetry (ISRD-19). It will take place from 14 to 19 May 2028 at the Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portorož, Slovenia.

ISRD is held about every three years. It brings together experts from research reactors, nuclear power plants, fusion and nuclear data, all centered on reactor dosimetry. It is the place to share your latest results, learn about new techniques and reconnect with the community.

We invite your contributions on:

• Experimental techniques, measurements and monitoring
• Calculational methods
• Reactor surveillance, plant life management and decommissioning
• Nuclear data, uncertainties and adjustments
• Benchmarks and inter-comparisons
• Dosimetry in test and research reactors, including accelerators and fusion

What makes ISRD-19 special:

• For students: hands-on activities at the Jožef Stefan Institute’s TRIGA research reactor
• Town hall discussions to identify current issues in reactor dosimetry and ways to overcome them
• A technical tour of the Jožef Stefan Institute TRIGA research reactor
• A welcome concert and a boat cruise on the northern Adriatic
• A companions’ programme with visits to some of Slovenia’s most beautiful attractions
• Proceedings published in EPJ Web of Conferences
